A Good Story
1950
It all begins with Giustino Di Costanzo, who starts selling bulk oils from a small van on the streets of his hometown on the foothills of Mount Vesuvius, near the city of Naples.
1980
Led by the eldest son Raffaele, the Di Costanzo brothers establish a facility for milling and bottling oils. It was the first company to do so at a time when oil was only sold in bulk.
1994
Giovanni Di Costanzo, one of the five siblings, decides to co-found a consortium with other major food companies to introduce a distinctive line of organic foods to the market.
TODAY
Bioitalia emerges as an innovative enterprise, securing a substantial market presence, particularly in international markets, all while preserving the essential qualities that define a family-owned business.
GOOD ORGANIC PRODUCTS
Our commitment to organic goes beyond mere taste. It’s about building ethically sustainable production methods, conscientiously choosing every participant in the supply chains, and cultivating robust partnerships.
Production
In our Sarno facility, a diverse range of products including sauces, pestos, jams, juices, and oil is meticulously crafted. Our commitment extends beyond product selection; we meticulously choose the fields and the people entrusted with their care. This is why we’ve forged partnerships with like-minded associates who share our values and business philosophy. This collaboration spans from sourcing raw materials and developing recipes to choosing packaging and overseeing product distribution. Upholding an internal ethical code, we ensure fair prices for farmers and uphold the integrity of our products. Our production schedules are thoughtfully planned to minimize waste, and we opt for eco-friendly packaging solutions to strike the right balance between food quality and environmental impact at every stage of the process.
We’ve made the strategic decision to integrate our entire supply chains into the BLOCKCHAIN system, with the goal of providing you with heightened transparency and security. With this cutting-edge technology, you can follow our products’ entire journey, from the field to the final product.
We thank the environment by choosing 100% recyclable packaging.
At the heart of innovation lies research
For more than two decades, we’ve collaborated closely with Federico II University of Naples to explore new production technologies and implement strategies that improve our operations and the markets we serve. We present ambitious projects in economics courses, offering undergraduates a platform to apply their skills in the professional realm.
Our certifications
They are a guarantee of the work we do every day, for the safety of all our products. Not only the mandatory ones, but all those that help us ensure the quality of the products, and above all, the respect for all those who work with us and for us. These certifications stand as a commitment to the safety and ethical standards of our products and processes. We are resolutely committed to shaping a fairer and more sustainable world, and we take a leading role in honoring all contributors in our supply chains.
Bioitalia Supports
Dynamo Camp
In 2024, Bioitalia has chosen to support Dynamo Camp by providing a one-week holiday for two children with serious or chronic illnesses. We believe in this project and hope that with our support and that of many other organizations, we can bring some joy and light-heartedness to children who already face numerous challenges in their daily lives. Our decision to support Dynamo Camp stems from our admiration for the dedication, passion, and sincerity with which it has orchestrated such activities over the years. We envision this as a catalyst, not only for our financial backing of such initiatives but also for deepening the engagement and empathy of everyone associated with our company and its products. We firmly believe that as a company that embraced the organic movement three decades ago with the mission of actively contributing to the preservation of the planet, the time has come to extend our support more proactively to people in need. Hence, today marks our inaugural step towards this goal, with the resolve to do everything within our means to pave the way for many more to come..
