Preparation

  1. Prepare the base: in a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter (30 ml). Once melted, add the flour and whisk to form a smooth roux.
  2. Add the milk: gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture begins to thicken.
  3. Incorporate the cream and sugar: stir in the heavy cream and sugar . Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Add the corn: add the drained corn kernels to the mixture. Stir and cook for a few minutes until the corn is heated through and the mixture is creamy.
  5. Serve: remove from heat and serve warm as a side dish or topping.

• 2 tbsp (30 ml) butter

• 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened heavy cream

• 1 tbsp (15 ml)lsugar

• 1 can (approximately 340 ml) corn kernels, drained
