- Prepare the base: in a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter (30 ml). Once melted, add the flour and whisk to form a smooth roux.
- Add the milk: gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture begins to thicken.
- Incorporate the cream and sugar: stir in the heavy cream and sugar . Mix well until fully combined.
- Add the corn: add the drained corn kernels to the mixture. Stir and cook for a few minutes until the corn is heated through and the mixture is creamy.
- Serve: remove from heat and serve warm as a side dish or topping.
