Bioitalia chooses BPA-free cans

Bioitalia now uses BPA-free cans for its organic tomatoes and beans in 400 g cans.

Given the alert on international markets and the uncertainty on the part of EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) of the risks associated with exposure to BPA through food, Bioitalia has decided to no longer use it in its packaging products, even if they have always been safe.

Since 2008, in collaboration with packaging manufacturers, quality control teams have been looking for a solution to remove BPA from the interior lining of cans.

Although this new packaging is more expensive, Bioitalia chooses to eliminate BPA from its cans. For Bioitalia, consumer health is not just a slogan, it is a reality.
